Highland Park
Bridge
, McCutcheon Farm, Penn Hills to
Camp
Heritage
just north of Uniontown,
Camp Conestoga, Twin Echo, Heritage Reservation and a few
more. Our activities also include winter sports like snow tubing
and summer activities like First Aid competition meets.
Boy Scouting is available to boys
who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old
or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11,
but not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of
developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.

5806 Verona Road, Verona PA 15147

"The patrol method is not a way to operate a Boy Scout
troop, it is the only way. Unless the patrol method is in
operation, you don't really have a Boy Scout troop."
—Robert Baden-Powell

Troop 891 is part of
the Tecumsa District.

Hey you! We need fresh pictures. If you have
any send them to me jpg or gif format preferred.

Quick Forms for your convenience. See

for many more.
REMEMBER - The job is not
done 'till the paper work is complete!
 | Parent meeting are held the
following scout meeting after a Tecumsa Round Table
Meeting held each first Thursday of the month.
|
 |
The troop Chairman presents information and
decisions the Pittsburgh council has made from the Round Table
Meetings. This information impacts your son and the troop.
|
 |
This is your opportunity to voice your input to the
troop, communicate information that improves your son's troop
experience, and gives your son (through you if he is shy (or not))
the opportunity to suggest troop activities.
|
 |
Parent are to ASSIST the scouts with the direction
the troop takes. And what we do next and how we are going to
accomplish it often depends on the parents.
|
 | Parent Meetings, All in all, is a
very important tool where the troop takes on a
"personality" and direction of activities for your son.
|
 |
Yes, the adult leaders will occasionally ask you for
help. Some times we need an extra hand or two. It takes
a lot to organize to run some 20 spirited boys. We will not demand a
permanent commitment from you. Just a few hours now and again.
Something that you would enjoy doing.
|

 |
Camping and activity fee
is set at $20 minimum unless,
 |
$10 if Supplemental donated
food is available.
|
 | This is to cover
food, cost of the camping facility
(rent) and a bit left over for camping
equipment repairs and maintenance.
|
 |
Payment is REQUIRED prior to activity. Cash,
Check or your scout account.
|
 |
PLEASE consider the following - We have
had a problem with falling short on fees and the scout master
having to pay with his personal money.

What are those Icons?
I try to use an Icon to attract your attention to
urgent, changed and added items. I hate to re-read things over and
over like a bad dream. Since there is not a "Changes" page the
below Icons should help.
